I have never had an issue with saying my age. Most people think I'm a lot younger than I am. I don't feel that it defines who I am. It's just a number, a reminder of what's to come. Great lesson.

Hey Jenn A - Thanks for watching - I lean on your take on it - just a number! best, Sue

This was very interesting. Sometimes I forget how old I am and when someone asks I have to stop and think. I'm 55 years young right now and am very comfortable with my age, I feel young and often act young (can't pass up a sliding board or a swing and love to skip and dance). I feel that I am younger than my mom was at the same age. My goal is to live a vibrant active live regardless of my numeric age.
Susan Paget - Life Coach
Hi Mary S - It's awesome that you love to move- it's an elixir to feeling great and I think what we're capable of physically at the second half of our life is only just being discovered. So keep on doing what makes you feel amazing, you're doing everything right! Thanks for being a part of the conversation! Best, Sue

Very interesting. I'm not crazy about saying my age mostly because the way other people act about it. While I'm happy most people don't think I look my age - the very fact that they seem shocked that I'm 61 says a lot about how people in general feel about age. My Mom was an amazing, active and vibrant 80 year old. After listening to your birthday message, when I do state my age I'll keep my beautiful Mom's image at 80 in mind.
Susan Paget - Life Coach
Hey Kimberly C - I think that you should honor your gut feelings of not feeling crazy about saying your age. You can simply forget about the number and science is backing that this is a healthy thing to do if it bothers you. Simply answering "I don't know" with a smile when someone asks how old you are is a perfect way to start living an ageless life. Give it a try and let me know what happens! Thanks for being a part of the conversation! Best, Sue

I have read that older adults did better on physical challenges when they were told they were performing above average whether they were or not! Absolutely how we think about our age influences our physical well being.
Susan Paget - Life Coach
Hi karey I - that's so interesting. I think we're only just beginning to learn the true power of the mind, especially when it comes to what we think is, and isn't, possible all because of age. So lucky we're learning this stuff now! Thanks for watching, Sue
