Question concerning arm placement outside the body: Against a right handed opponent you have moved your weapon farther from your opponent’s and increased the time and distance needed to intercept an attack to your centerline or the left side of your body. Does your initial position adapt to the handedness of your opponent and what are the benefits of hedging your defense away from their most powerful attacking arc?
