i love it but lost me at the changing the + and - signs.
ex. x+(-4)=18
How do I know and why to change it to minus four.
Why put plus on the other side. Using the method you like.
I think going back and reviewing fractions?
Anyway, I am having a good time.

Glad you liked the lesson overall. I think there are two questions here.
1. If you have a question 7 + (-3) that can be rewritten as 7 - 3. the addition sign is like joining the numbers together, so if you join an positive and a negative you are subtracting.
2. x - 4 = 18. When you have a situation like this you do the inverse so in place of - 4 you would add 4 to both sides of the equation to get x by itself.
