An avid outdoorsman, John has spent a substantial portion of his life exploring the remote backcountry of Idaho’s scenic wilderness regions. His knowledge and experience surrounding the outdoors were attained through the generous mentorship of others, tireless research, and countless time in the field. John’s interests include: backpacking, boating, “do-it-yourself” projects, outdoor cooking, and camping with family and friends. While his interests are diverse, John’s true passion is fishing, where he devotes much of his energy to learning new skills and techniques. John enjoys sharing his knowledge of the outdoors with others by mentoring underprivileged youth, and through his online writings and video productions. In his free time, he can often be found somewhere near the water… usually with a fishing rod in hand.
