Shift command in Control Shift D seems to be redundant .. please explain difference between control D and control shift D:)
Nuts and Bolts Speed Training
Great question... The reason you want to use CTRL+SHIFT+D is it will duplicate your slide no matter what you are doing in the normal view. It saves you from having to click over into the slide sorter view and hit CTRL+D over there. The fewer movements you have to make with your mouse the better, hence why it's one of the essential shortcuts you need to know.
