So you couldn’t get a pair of actual safety goggles? They are not expensive and you should have some. Safety first, right?

I agree, put newspaper down on the work surface, hard to get all the small shards of glass otherwise. Also, I think it would be a nice touch to glue and wrap the twine around the metal to finish it off. Nice work! You're fun to watch!

Cool idea. A wet paper towel on your work surface will catch the small pieces of glass. Good work!
