Drilling and modern dentistry seems stagnant, we understand probiotics and antibiotics...wouldn't it seem probable that ridding the mouth of unfriendly bacteria and establishing a healthy fauna could be an answer? How about 100% covering of the tooth, or at least high risk areas, with an epoxy or compound would eliminate cavities? Come in every 6-12 months to apply a new coating?
Maybe a technology forgotten is revived, oil pulling, chewing an herb blend. For advancement it seems we're due!

We barely understand the microbiome and especially what is happening in the mouth and how it relates to the rest of the digestive tract. As in most things, it starts with proper nutrition and basic care. Just bc we could try and make it so it never mattered what we ate, drank or inhaled (which is essentially dentures) doesn't mean we should...
