Hello Curious Students!
My name is Graham Stephens and I am a mixed-media artist with an emphasis in printmaking & sculpture. I find myself drawn to mechanical processes, vintage equipment, and popular culture. These interests often become the subjects of my work.
Diode Press focuses on the process to create prints from woodcuts, engravings, mezzotints, and copper etchings. I teach you how to create various artworks in the same fashion, and using the same tools and techniques, as when they were invented hundreds of years ago. It’s the dedication to preserving and sharing these printmaking traditions and the constant striving to increase the quality and mastery of these skills that keeps me motivated and creating.
