In the strumming exercise, on the screen for the first chord the text says the strumming pattern starts Down, Up, Down , up Down,etc.. but you are saying and I believe are playing Down, Down up Down, etc... It is kind of confusing. Otherwise I enjoyed the lesson.
Chili Monster
My mistake Linda, hopefully it didn't put you off too much - to be honest at this stage the strumming pattern is not really important its more important to get those first few chords learned and get used to switching from one to the next as smoothly as you can - happy strumming!

This was very helpful in understanding the Ukulele. Some passengers on our cruise ship to Hawaii took lessons on board. It looked like fun and I was sorry that I did not try it then. Perhaps I will now buy one and give it a try.

What is the name of the song and where can it be printed from.
Chili Monster
Hi Daniel, I hope you are finding my lessons useful. The tune used in the first lesson is just a simple arbitrary set of chords and is not based on any song. If you give me your email address I can send you a songsheet for it or go to my website www.shroprock.co.uk and use the email link to contact me and request the sheet.
