My name is Charlie Button. I am a musician, producer, and teacher from Upstate New York. My name has appeared in such music publications as Pitchfork, MySpace Artist of the Day, All About Jazz, and others.
I feel that the primary mission of a guitar instructor is to inspire students in such a way that will nuture their lifelong musical growth.
I taught my first guitar lesson in 2005, and I also have experience as a peer-tutor for music theory students as well as experience as a teacher's assistant to middle school music technology classes.
I am currently accepting guitar students from around the world who are interested, inquisitive, and passionate when it comes to music.
My instruction comes in the form of pre-recorded lessons here on Curious, both private and group lessons via Skype, a free e-mail newsletter, articles, and YouTube videos.
In addition to teaching, I produce my own music and perform, arrange, and compose for the instrumental band, Doctor Magnum.
