Can frozen spinach, fruit be used? If so, how much? I love smoothies!

It can, but I do not recommend it. Fresh is best, as frozen spinach takes on a different flavor and texture. However, I always recommend for each individual to experiment with what works for them. So if you would like to experiment with frozen spinach, try perhaps about a cup or less at first.
