Suddenly, you introduced a woman or girl playing. You never mentioned that before. What was the linguistically feminine noun (appositive) to which "she" refers? I do not recall there being one? (Of course, there was no masculine noun either.) Then all rules say to use the masculine pronoun. No, I did not make up that rule. It is the way things are done in Western civilization---maybe Eastern as well. I do not know. Please do not become an aggressive feminist breaking grammar rules.
