Facebook turns 15 and we asked listeners why they were still using the social media site. For some, it was keeping in touch. For others, it's simple FOMO. Produced by: Lydia Emmanouilidou and Brandi Fullwood. Image credit: Regis Duvignau/Reuters.

Being that I joined Facebook when it initially came out for college students I can say it has added very little value to my life and probably drained more of my time than I should have afforded. It doesn't support conversations, it doesn't support personal engagement, it's barely a good way to store and share photos. It's not just Facebook to blame as it is a tool at the basics however it needs to be reigned in at how it's able to impact what we use it for.

I like that Facebook sends me reminders about my friends birthdays, but it started getting creepy when all sorts of guys started sending me friend requests and one even pretended to want a relationship with me only because he needed me to pay for his trip to the World Cut up Soccer Games— not cool!!
