8 CQ
Caning, or reducing polymer clay forms, can be overwhelming. But the creative possibilities are endless! Lean caning and make some psychedelic jewelry.

Hi, Love your videos. I was wondering you do not talk a lot about how you cook your clay. I see that you add eye pens and other embellishments, but do you leave them in there when you cook it. I would love to know more about that. I would also like to know what you put on your pieces to seal them and make them so shiny.

Penny I bake or cure my pieces for 45 minutes to one hour at 250-275 degrees. The time depends on the thickness of the piece. Always place a foil tent over your pieces if they are light and you want to avoid darkening. I leave the pins in the pieces. I seal them with Sculpey Gloss Glaze.

Thank you for your help. I baked my first pendants today. I used several of your techniques lie canes, balling up left overs. mica powders, and stamping in the clay. It was so much fun. Of course there aren't even close to the beauty of yours.
