    I've been crocheting for years. I think I worked out something similar waaaay back. Thank you for putting it on video. Well done. Have you tried it in double crochet? Similar in that you end double crochet with alternate colour then proceed with next stitch being a half double crochet, continuing with DC.

    I have used slip stitches at colour changes before but not like this and the effect isn't quite so dramatic. I might try this next time.
