    History with Mr. Striplin
    Washington heard about the rebellion and personally led 13,000 soldiers to put the rebellion down. The rebels all decided to leave before he arrived. There was no military confrontation but Washington made his point. The tax however, remained difficult to collect as there were many acts of defiance from the farmers.
