I really like learning about the cuts in the building. Does this technique also work with Stucco Board? PLEASE wear a dust mask and safety glasses when cutting into the building and mixing the Stucco. Also wear rubber gloves while handling the fiberglass. Safety first!!!!

Doesnt kerfing the block in order to get a knit reduce the integrity? Do you have to use a bonding agent if the old work or block has been painted? (Also in PA, so appropriate freeze-thaw conditions apply.)

It sounds as though you do not have practical experience with this type of work. the videos only show basic tecniques for beginners. mason work is not black and white but full of variation and reasons for different techniques which can only be answered by actual knowledge. thanks mike
