Feast in the Middle East
Blanche (rhymes with launch)

Willing to wait one hour in line for a felafel sandwich? Is hummus your #1 condiment? Tempted by tabbouli or drool over dolmas? Then welcome to my Feast in the Middle East page! I am a TV journalist/host from San Francisco with access to hundreds of authentic Middle Eastern recipes passed down to me from generations. I will give you step by step instructions complete with easy modern shortcuts so you can make these delicacies at home. Each video will have a written transcript of precise ingredient measurements that were traditionally passed around by word of mouth only--recipes that you will never find in culinary schools. I also offer a lot of cooking tips, information about exotic ingredients, and family stories, to give you a background of the recipes. I want to keep these dishes alive, before they disappear with my busy generation’s take-out boxes. These are rustic, easy to make recipes that use whole fresh ingredients that follow the Mediterranean diet, touted by even the Mayo Clinic as the most heart healthy diet around.

The rest of the ingredients are really easy to find in your local supermarket.
