Derek Hooper is the Director of Instruction at Royal Oaks Country Club, Houston, Texas, USA.
After graduating from University and completing his PGA apprenticeship, Derek played the mini Tours and several PGA Tour events in Australia before returning to his true passion - Teaching. Over the years he has taught in Australia, Japan, Taiwan and the USA, working with players from beginners to Tour players.
He has been delivering instruction programs to players of all skill levels for over 20 years and has a degree in teaching and exercise science from the University of Queensland, Australia. Derek's specialty is in designing training programs to help players reach their full playing potential and gain more enjoyment from their time on the course.
