My husband and grandson have autism. Services have improved in Australia due to the National Disability Insurance Scheme which have helped enormously but my husband is now too old for support. My grandson is doing so well but access to resources and specialists in regional Australia are really difficult. Thank you for an informative interview.

Mr Silberman has made an enormous contribution that will doubtless reverberate in many directions for a long time to come. Thnk U for your hard work. ( I once knew a mother with all 3 of her sons as autistic, 2 of which mostly homebound).

It’s So True. I’m saddened by the fact that millions of people have suffered Silently, almost. Spectrum , of course it’s called. These people are All completely unique and tho it’s wonderful as we all Need to be ourselves. L, I suffer From Debilitating and Severe Depression as well as myriad of other maladies to beat the band . I’m a very good at communicating my pain ( at least for the minute I get my husband or grandchildren to stay in the same room with me!)Autism? Description?

I have two Austin grandchildren. They are cousins. They are as different as Day and night. Wonderful human beings. The youngest is non verbal but is trying to learn sign language. She went bowling for the first time the other day and without instructions go a strike with her first ball! Thank you for your services for these wonderful human beings.
