Dr. Michael Crow became president of Arizona State University in 2002, and in 2009, he was named one of the 10 best college presidents by Time Magazine. Under his leadership, ASU has established over a dozen new transdisciplinary schools and large-scale research initiatives and tripled research expenditures. Since his tenure, ASU has claimed a spot on three separate rankings of America's best colleges.
