What temp should the milk be when you start.
Coffee Plus Water
The milk should be cold when you steam it. So regular refrigerator temps around 35° F.

I became a milk foam geek 25 years ago. You did a really great job of explaining the process with exactly the right amount of detail. I wish every barista would watch this, because so few actually get it right.
Coffee Plus Water
Thanks for watching! I'm a strong believer in understanding the basics so I'm happy you appreciated the process.

Thank you for the lesson. However, while steaming I saw NO rotation? After steaming you rotated and knocked the pitcher. What am I missing? Thank you, Deborah
Coffee Plus Water
Oh okay when i say rotation i mean the milk inside the pitcher rotating. it's a bit hard to seem the rotation in the pitcher because you can only see the white of the milk but there's definitely rotation there. Rotating the actual pitcher is not so important
