I have been through ZION several times, and also hiked. It is truly amazing and beautiful. I didn't realize there were so many restaurants before entering the park. I didn't know about the algae on the rocks, and other interesting facts. So even though I've been to ZION, I still learned new things. With heavy spring run-off, do they close the park or the hiking trails? I understand that flash flooding can sometimes be a problem. Thanks.
Bob Duthie
Fortunately when we were at Zion there was no heavy rain. The river is very narrow with high walls on each side so a flash flood would be very dangerous. I am sure some of the trails would be closed and especially the Temple of Sinewava Trail.

We retired last year and bought a Winnebago View, we live in Utah and finally have time to travel. This series will be perfect for us in planning what we want to see. Your series introducing people to camping was good and I was glad to know we made the right choice in our vehicle - just big enough for us and the dog.
Bob Duthie
Thanks for your kind remarks. Enjoy your View and visit lots of places. You are in the middle of one of the most scenic areas on the continent.
