Wow! Her rude comment regarding homeschoolers are going to get bored playing video games. My homeschooled son (and I teach in the public school system but decided homeschooling was best for him) does NOT play video games during class time!! He has to read (outside of class) to earn tickets that he can turn in for video game time.

Thank you for your observations. I work in elementary school, have one third of a MA in Counseling and decided that I did not want to pursue the School Counseling MA, (who wants to have a 450 student case load?) Any possibility of getting a MA in your thinking/program to master TRUE Learning? ps- I participated in the XQ Superschool project last year and put together proposal for High School of the future with concepts like you propose.

I retired in 2004 after being a teacher, building administrator, and central office curriculum director in Ohio. Nothing was new to me in Denise's conversation; we were beginning to implement block learning schedules, project-based learning, etc. before I retired. The fact that these ideas are still NEW is discouraging! Kudos to Denise et. al - hopefully the implementation pace will get a big boost. I want this for my grandchildren and will pass it along!

Education reform ??????bring it on ... I would be keen to attend your professional learning in California .. Sincerely Erika Schaab-Farrant
