I liked the personal touch at the end. The concept of commitment problems does seem intriguing. I wonder how much this applies to the lesson on Proximate v Underlying Causes (a part of it, anyway), where you mentioned WW1 having the underlying cause of Massive First Strike Advantages. In such a situation, no country would be able to credibly commit to peace when they benefit much more from initiating the war (uh, apparently). Combined with the IR course, this course is a goldmine. Props to you!
