    Hi Demetra, this is not at all messy, it is one of the easiest clean cheapest methods to use, this is why top hotels and a lot of coffee enthusiastic drinkers use this way to get the authentic taste. It only keeps warm for a short time, as you would want your coffee fresh and hot. No machine I know has the same desired temperature all day without making a fresh brew. But if you want a clean, easy, cheap authentic coffee taste without fuss this is one of the best ways to get it. Hope this helps.
