I did something similar a few years back with Pepsi cans when they were featuring Superman. The aluminum was so thin that I glued the emblem in two layers to make it thicker. I made a necklace for my niece, who was a Superman fan.

Neat! I love those special edition cans. I had some great Polar Bear jewelry a couple of years back from a special edition can.

Thanks for the video! I am fairly new at jewelry making and am fascinated by the soda can idea and making paper beads!

Glad you liked it Debi.

Won't the soda can be really sharp once it's cut??
Upcycled Stuff
Hi, Cheryl. It's actually not as sharp as you might think. I wouldn't suggest intentionally running your finger along the edge or you'll end up with something akin to a paper cut. But the aluminum soda cans are nothing like tin...which is sharp, until you file it nicely.
