Great work TJ. I enjoyed all your series. How would you holding the emotions and not breakdown or weep until you cannot continue your speech?
TJ Walker
Hi BT. If you practice several times in advance you can prepare yourself, partly by becoming a little numb to it, partly by being slightly bored with it by the time you give it for real. It's not the end of the world if you start crying, but then realize everyone's attention is drawn to you and your grief rather than the person whose life is being honored. So try to keep it together. And don't be afraid to just stop and take a drink of water.
