Hahahahaha! That was my first thought! Does your neighbor have cats?
I have seen this done where the gutter is at a 25%
angle and drains into another gutter below, then another, etc. Very water efficient.
I really like this idea.

I haven't had any complaints. I am careful not to water their yard. They also have plants along their fenceline, so any water that does drip ever is beneficial to them!

I live in the Northwest so we see a lot of rain as well. I haven't noticed any rot or water damage around the staples or nail holes.
