Hello, I'm having difficulty on your pants tutorial with the 45° crotch line. I am a plus size with 43 1/2 waist circumference and 49 3/4 hip circumference. My extended crotch length equals 3 3/16. Do you have a suggestion of what should my line for the 45° angle be for length or have a calculation to determine that? I am planning on doing all your videos because they are wonderful. You are a blessing. Thank you!

sorry for the delay in response. When you finish your pants pattern, compare the crotch curve length with your actual crotch curve length measurement. This should tell you how well this will fit in this area. Normally, the 45degree angle is longer in the back for women but if you have a tummy, you can extend the line but I wouldn't exceed the 1 3/4". When you draw the crotch curve, hitting the end of this point isn't crucial, it's just being used as a guideline really.

Creating a muslin to test the pattern is the real answer and then you can alter your pattern based on that test until you get the perfect fit. good luck!
