So I decided to listen to the whole thing, in my opinion hasn't changed. I still find it very depressing.

I find this so depressing. I couldn't finish listening to it. Basically it can be summed up as they want to express themselves, but they have nothing really to say. Russia will always be the country who can never quite make it. They have so much potential, but they will never find their way. When the Soviet Union collapsed, for a moment I thought that they might be able to pull themselves together finally, but they went right back to the old ways. In Russia, nothing ever changes.
