Should we let parents use their children to gain admittance illegally?
What is this teaching these children?
Do what you want even if it’s illegal?

This is not about them getting admitted or not, they're being detained. If they're determined to have entered illegally they'll be sent home, however if they're seeking asylum there is an international duty per treaties to determine that and, if they are eligible, give them asylum. Separation while detaining them is just bad now and worse for the future, whether they stay or not
