Hi. I noticed your black frame and wondered what kind of paint you used? Also, do you bake the completed frame at the same temperature and length of time for the type of clay you use? The reason I asked is I thought moisture would come out of the wood and might mess up the clay. Thanks in advance for your time!

Hi, Marla. I used acrylic paint on the black frame. What I do is paint the frames and then wipe it back off. A stainy effect works better than thick paint. With that black frame I did have problems with some bubbling but it was from the sap in the wood. The frame was from another store and I don't use those any more. The Michael's frames don't ooze sap and I think you'll like them best, Plus, they're only a dollar. :-)
