I would not walk away from someone who hurt me. I would tend to think it was my fault and I would just move on if I thought there was no way to mend the relationship.

There are always exceptions to the rule, but amiables typically forgive and forgive and then there comes a point where they just don't care anymore. It's worse than being hated. There is some emotion when a person hates you, but when a person is indifferent there is no feeling at all. Socializers' negative flaw is that they lose credibility when they exaggerate or tell tales without doing the necessary research to back up their claims. They can also hurt relationships by behaving this way.

Dona, can you relate to the fatal flaw of the amiable? I have been on the other end of it. I hurt an amiable so much that this individual no longer talks to me. I have learned from my mistakes. I will NEVER do it again because I have learned once you hurt an amiable there is (typically) no redemption. Of course like anything else, there are always exceptions to the rule.

Every one of the personality types has flaws for the amiable it is the unwillingness to forgive. This is after forgiving time and time again. There comes a point where this personality type has had enough. They do not hate the person who has offended them, they just simply ignore them. There usually is no turning back for this personality type. This can happen when a driver personality type (or any other personality type, but this is the most common) has hurt the amiable over and over again.
