Nearly all of the regulations he mentions are in favor of consumers. Flying is horrible enough with the security theater and the ever-shrinking leg room. Why would we want to get rid of these beneficial regulations?

I agree, if you are going to pay the money to fly, as opposed to driving, you want to know what the odds are of you arriving at your destination on time, with all of your luggage, and with your pet having survived the ride (especially if your pet is not in the cabin with you). To me, as a consumer, this is not an “unnecessary report” but rather it is extremely important information that could influence my decision on which airline to patronize.

Funny how I dreamt of being aboard a plane next to the pilot doing an interview on a clear sunny morning.
