Really interesting, would have thought the hungry people would make worse choice. So you still suggest eating before going to supermarket?

That's a good observation, but I wouldn't quite draw that conclusion. The study is more to illustrate that the satiated people had been lulled into thinking that they COULD control their impulses. Hungry people knew better. The key thing about this study is that the goal was to go one week without eating the snack. So it was a game, and the hungry people were smarter players. I think the supermarket is a different game (with the goal to actually eat what you buy).
