I can see that the word "On" is the same as "Nous"... But does this apply on just this type of sentence or you can just use both either "On" or Nous" on any occasion?

1) Why is there an "es" ending "tu" when we conjugate first group verbs? 2) I am having a hard time processing the "vais" part, when you say like, "je vais alle". I always think it's "je vas alle". Does this make sense?
Learn French Now!
That's just the way it is conjugated. The s at the end is usually silent unless the following word starts with a vowel sound. In that case we make the liaison. The s is then pronounced as a z.
