    Hi Deborah. Thank you for your comment. The question is referring to the position I have just demonstrated in the video. Holding the left hand over the SHOULDER of the violin to be able to swing the violin up into place. I will make the question clearer because, of course, when in playing position the hand will be holding the neck.
