Niclas Huschenbeth is a German chess grandmaster, commentator and author. Huschenbeth learned how to play chess at the age of five and participated early in youth chess tournaments. He was awarded the title of International Master in 2008 and the Grandmaster title in 2012. At age 18, he achieved his most notable success, becoming the youngest German Chess Champion in history.
Besides playing competitive chess, Huschenbeth enjoys commentating on top tournaments as well as recording instructional chess videos. He has published numerous video series for chess companies such as Chessbase and chess24.
