Have to laugh when first you say to be sure to stamp on a hard surface, then you say to put a layer of padding underneath your paper. So much for the hard surface.
Fabulously Artsy
It sounds funny, but a firm surface with a layer of padding is essential when you use clear stamps. Flexible working surfaces like flimsy folding tables tend to bow under pressure when you need to press firmly, so choose a solid tabletop or add something that won't bend. Padding over the firm table allows the ink to spread evenly, it's different than a tabletop that bends under pressure. The mix of the two is what gives you good contact and even coverage when working with clear stamps.

Why interrupt the video by adding the "exercises"? Useless in my opinion. But even more annoying was that the video stopped every couple minutes and then waited a minute before restarting. Got tired of this so never finished watching.

I'm sorry you feel that way. You'll find all lessons on Curious contain exercises and segments. Both of these features are proven to enhance the student's retention of the material. You can always skip the exercises using the button. The segments only have a second or two of delay, depends on your internet speed. If you click onto the next section you can speed up the switch. Thanks for your feedback, if you still feel strongly about these features please contact Curious support.
