    I’m sorry, I was really interested, but your camera angle isn’t at it’s best for us to actually see what your hands/material are doing.

    Thank you, Lynne. I really enjoyed the lessons. I am trying to develop a table mat project to do with a class of 24 children (8 years old). I think this technique might be a little too difficult for them (though I am eager to do it). I am thinking of ways to adapt some of your simplicity for my purposes. Cheers!

    Greetings Karey - we're delighted to hear that you are enthusing children. You don't have to twine, you could simply weave the yarn over and under the warp. Have an odd number of warps strands so the return is in opposition - over becomes under, etc. If the children have a problem keeping the tension even at the edges, include something removable which is rigid but not too fat, with the edge warps. To avoid extra expense a wire coat hanger straightened or slim pencil should do.

    Greetings Ericka. I suppose you mean the splicing of the ends? Try to keep your action smooth and even, so you maintain control. If you snap at it, the ends may lock in in too quickly.
