I've had acupuncture roughly 20 times, and it does hurt when they put the needles in my sinus areas. While acupuncture is not horribly painful, it does hurt sometimes. It depends on the patient. I have chronic pain, so I find the needle insertion painful. However, the benefits of acupuncture outweighs the pain.

That is awesome feedback - the sinus area is tricky - distraction methods like tapping, counting or putting pressure around the needle insertion area can help
