I would not have thought of softer food as a reward. I suppose the point is to find tiny bits of good things and appreciate them on some level. Acknowledgement. Good idea. My first thought would have been "I went for a walk this morning so I get a handful of blueberries" but That won't work every time. Appreciating something small and making it a reward is always an option though And a healthy habit that will transfer to other ares of life.
