Here's another method that's very easy. Steam the eggs in a vege steamer for 12 minutes. Then when they are cooled and cracked, the shells come off in two pieces. I also keep them in fridge for future use and shell comes off in 4 pieces. You can also steem eggs in a half inch of water in regular, covered pan like yours.

I've used this method for a few years now and it works great. 9 mins seems gives a nice yolk consistency for a pot of 6 large eggs or less. Very nicely laid out video!
