Introducing a
new breed of
teacher
Do you want to teach on Curious?

Curious about teaching on Curious?

We started Curious because we wanted to help the world's best teachers (of anything) become entrepreneurs, and reach a global audience. We really believe it is possible for teachers to provide great instruction to students halfway around the world, and make good money doing it. If you are great at teaching something, keep reading to see if the Curious platform is right for you.

Why do teachers love Curious?

  • It all starts with the lessons. At Curious, lessons are short, fun and engaging. They cause the students to lean forward, interact with other students and (gasp) the teacher, and actually do what you are teaching them.
  • We turn teachers into entrepreneurs. Our platform allows you to create a family of lessons, group them into series, and add related products or services. You benefit from everything Curious knows about how to structure and sell lessons most effectively--so you can focus on creating great content and connecting with your students.
  • Brand building, not just lesson building. The Curious platform was built to allow each teacher to create an unique learning brand. Students at Curious love all kinds of teaching styles, and appreciate quirky or fresh approaches that can lead to a cult following.
  • A qualified audience comes built-in. How many hours have you spent wondering why nobody is finding your brilliant instructional videos? Curious has a built-in community of passionate lifelong learners eager to interact with you. No need to worry about crude comments or disrespectful students—everybody is authenticated, and there to learn.
  • Build it yourself. Curious offers a powerful, easy-to-use platform that allows you to create, design, edit, share and promote your video-based lessons on Curious, as well as your own blog or website.

Convinced yet? Here's how to get started:

  1. Learn something on Curious. Create an account at Curious so you can get familiar with the types of lessons on Curious, and the different teaching styles. Which style and content do you like the best?
  2. Apply. Click here to fill out a short application to be a teacher. You will need to point us to at least one video online of you teaching your subject matter. We will get back to you within three business days.
  3. Create and share your lessons. You start by recording new videos or uploading videos you have already created. Then you add sections, exercises, attachments and marketing information. Share via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, your blog, or carrier pigeon that you're a Curious teacher. As students enroll in your lessons, engage with them so that they master the material and want to keep learning from you.
  4. Grow your students and lessons. Create series of lessons to teach more in-depth subjects. Sell more advanced lessons to your new student base and ask them what they want to learn next.
