Fibre Arts Bootcamp is the fund-raising arm of The Llama Sanctuary, which is dedicated to caring for neglected, abused and homeless llamas and alpacas. It seems only natural to use the fibre from the residents to raise the funds necessary to support them and while doing so, have some creative fun.
FAB runs regular workshops covering many different aspects of the fibre arts. We also produce a variety of art yarns, fibre for spinning and have designed a range of fibre processing equipment, as well as BIG, dual purpose Mega Knitting Hooks (they serve as both knitting needles and crochet hooks). For many years my partner, David and I, have been advocates of natural fibre, the llama sanctuary together with FAB establish a platform from which to continue that campaign.
